]]> A free web service, www.informantonline.com, provides a unique way to submit anonymous comments about a company or organization. The key is that the company actually solicits these comments by distributing a security code to their employees or customers. Informants then use that code to submit their unbiased opinion about the organization, its products, or services. Think of it as an update to the old suggestion box. The premise is that typical business books are no fun to read (so true!) so they adapt the content to this focused and fun format. The first book in the series is called “Fortune Favors the Bold” and is written by the CEO of Smarter Comics, Franco Arda. He asked if I could produce the video in a faux newscast format, and being the ham I am, I said sure! SmarterComics will be available this August at Amazon.com and SmarterComics.com.

]]> I was chosen as the on-camera talent and video editor for a video produced by the MedInsight Research Institute. The purpose of the video is to explain the science behind a prescription drug, Naltrexone. The noted medical illustrator, Ben Rogall, created a compelling animated graphic for the video. I shot the video against a “green screen” in my home studio, and then composited the animation, graphics, and text in FinalCut. (And a shout-out to my friend John for the use of his lab coat!)
