I created a new marketing video for my friends at Honestech in Austin, TX. It’s for their latest product, Film Scan&Save. Use it for converting your old 35mm slides and transparencies to digital images. In addition to scripting and editing this video, I also tried “my hand” at doing the demonstrations. Gotta say – this is a fun product to use. Yesterday I converted over 300 slides I’d taken decades ago (including one of me at the original Woodstock concert).

Setting Up the Green Screen Again

My client, Peter at Compechek, asked me to produce another in a series of green screen videos for his product, Ask Listen Retain. It is designed for the automotive industry to improve customer loyalty. This project gave me the opportunity to set up my “green screen” again so I could record video with various backgrounds. I’ll post the video here when it is made public. In the meantime, here are a couple stills from it.

My high school Spanish came in handy when a client asked me to convert a series of videos we had done from English to Spanish. Fortunately, they provided the voiceover in Spanish, and translations for the screen text. But I still had to match up the Spanish audio to the existing video. Although it typically takes 20% more words to say the same thing in Spanish, the narrator spoke at a much faster rate than my original English language voiceover, so it all came together.
